To Waxoil or not to Waxoil???
I know that waxoil attackes some rubber materials, I have experienced it before underneith my old Defender!!
There looks to be a lot of rubber bits and bobs, contacts and bits that go click and humm under the D3, should I waxoil it, I so want to!!!

I always had my cars Waxoyled but only on new cars when the paint is clean and swirless. If you want the showroom shine back on your used car then the old paint needs to be properly cleaned and polished which my Waxoyl guys didn't do. It's a time consuming job for those boys.
So I polish my old cars self and apply a high quality paint sealer (Sonax Nanowax or Macguires). Much better result.
I would only recommend Waxoyl on used cars when the paint is polished first.CLUB ILLEGAL CAR WASHERS

are you sure you are thinking of the same product....Waxoyl is normally used on chassis and everywhere underneath to repel the tin worm..............
I am thinking of doing this to protect the D3 underside, as looking under already shows signs of slight surface brown stuff

Darren, I spent three days waxoyling mine about a month ago, wirebrushed it for a day with a leccy drill, then Kurust'ed & hammerited the next day then a day waxoyling, sprayed it everywhere , on the rubbers included, just as I have done with all my previous cars. Not had any adverse effects yet (touch wood) on this car and not on the others!

Dun mine took 2hrs , secret is boil Waxoil in an old kettle and spray hot. Don't know about LR rust warranty, but does it matter?
MaDPOD3 can when others can't
D3 will when others won't
D3 drinks when others don't.

Had mine done 3 1/2 years ago when the car was 1 week old. I had it done by the "before n after" guy, not cheap but after doing numerous cars in the past myself it was well worth it, as he has the right equipment to get the stuff everywhere !!

B16 - that guy scares me. Always seems a bit aggressively oversold? I'm pretty easy-going, but he sounds like the kind of guy it's easy to fall out with?
How's the underside looking now btw?
On my D2 I used to get a local truck fitter to stick it on their ramp, steam clean the underside and a local back street old fashioned paint shop used to proof it for me for £70. Used to get it done every couple of years and the car was immaculate when sold.2020 SDV6 D5 HSE, Carpathian Grey +
