LEGEND

works perfectly

It’s V to PWM E bridge

Any idea what the freq setting is on ipcu screen please? Seems to not do anything regardless of value setting

The other buttons are for blower power 50% seems ok for now

Blowers are stuck on feet for now I’ll check tomorrow see if they move when ignition on and driving

Dunno. Freq could be for other cars.

Before you turn the ignition off, you need to set the air direction,
and temperature to very hot.
Listen for flaps to move. Turn ign off

Almost all definitely working

Only problem is blowers go to feet when using ipcu - regardless of being set to windscreen and steering wheel (with both heat controls being on 28)

Is there any way of jamming the flaps to screen or take a fuse out maybe?

I’ll do a video asap. Wiring is skatty but will make a good straight forward video for people to copy

It may need another dam relay. 5 pin. Fitted behind climate panel

So if you have the ignition on, blowing to screen.
You turn the ignition off (with remote wire powered).
Does the air direction change? And when ?

I don’t understand what you mean by ignition off with remote wire powered?

I thought the heater was supposed to be turned off for at least 2 minutes before starting the car is started?

I turned engine off with blowers set to almost maximum hot, on blower power 3, with windscreen and face blowers activated on buttons to left on controller

I couldn’t hear the flaps change as the blower sound was loud

In morning I’ll set the blower speed on ipcu lower so it’s quiet and then check the flaps and turn car off. Then turn remote heating on and see if I can hear or feel direction change

Cheers

Also would not work as if I had to start car then remote heater, it would mean starting the engine cold which is what I’m trying not to do as glow plugs are shot

Will update tomorrow I’ve had enough now haha but everything’s back to normal just got to figure the flap bit

Thanks again

How did you get on?

Did you end up with a warm car before you pressed the unlock button ?

I think what you need to do as a test is, when engine warm after a drive.

Get it the car. Ignition on
Put fan on low so you can hear things move
Set temperature to maximum hot
Set flaps to windscreen and vents.
Wait for flaps to move.
Confirm warm air coming from where you expect
Remove key
Wait for radio display to go off
Lock car pressing key lock 2 or 3 time to disable movement sensors
Wait 30 secs
Trigger fbh remote
Does warm air come out upper vents ?

Yeah it works sweet

Just one thing before I do video… if I wanted to make the ipcu blow non-heated air for summer time can cooling for staff breaks in heat waves… could I add a switch to the auxiliary 12v to fbh as to power the ipcu without heat?

So put a cut off switch between the remote start module and the fbh via the purple power wire?

Not expecting ice cold air but more so just to create air movement in cab as to cool us down..

I presume it would work fine but want to double check first

I thought you may ask this. Yea, put a switch under bonnet between the remote module and wbus wire into the heater.

For winter I would turn the fan speed down to 30% to save battery

Cheers yeah I’ll add to video what power and position is best for mid blowers as they can heat the steering wheel. Also lock the air to circulate may heat the cab quicker you reckon?

Yes could recirculate. It may do that anyway.

For temperature i would put it one down from maximum.

Ok here’s the video

Since doing it has been a while so it was hard to remember a lot of it. Also the wiring is ATROCIOUS so probably not even worth uploading BUT I did promise so here goes:

I am happy to guide people who ask for help on this thread

The basic description probably will be helpful but not much help
