Wow i stayed here earlier this year although we nearly didn't as the 2nd crossing was exceptionally high and too fast to cross on one day.
Sounds Like Evan is still on top form he really was a great host, hope his wife is on the mend.

Just back from here having stayed the week. A fantastic place, wonderful isolation will definitely be going back. Just under 4 miles of forestry and private track to get to the cottage. Views from the sitting room to the trig point on top of Plumlumon. The cottage is beautifully presented,warm and cozy. It has some of the best night sky I’ve ever seen. No hesitation in recommending.

Should be fine depending on the depth of the fords. It was fairly high when we left at about 30cm, but it had rained heavily on the night before.

The owners of our old favourite stay near Welshpool are selling up, so I remembered this recommendation it really looks like just what we like and it’ll be great to have a change of scene
