Weird Rattling Noise from Engine

My D4 has developed an unusual noise from the engine - sounds like a loose bag of spanners rattling around is the best description.

Idle -> 1500 RPM in the recording.

Anyone got any ideas what it could possibly be - or is it simply meant to sound like that? Had the car a few months and not sure if it's always sounded like that - don't notice it (or anything untoward) at speed...

I recon it is really bad pulley noise check it on open bonnet at the front

Turned out to be a failed auxiliary belt tensioner.

So if anyone wants to know what they sound like, now you know!
