Hi together,
after owning a Defender 90 (Puma), I searched for more space and a better handling, so I got a Discovery 3 one week ago. What a great car Let's hope the three amigos will not drive me crazy and stay off for a while...
All the best!

Suspension will raise when system cooled |
|
Happy 2006 LR3 owner of about 10 years. I've used the site many times as a guest but finally registered.
... working on the annoying "Suspension will raise when system cooled" message. I've determined a brand new compressor had no effect on the message!... at least I didn't experiment with rebuilding the compressor to discover the compressor was not the problem.

Hello everyone just saying hello as a new member and having just bought a Disco3 HSE yesterday from a private seller. Car has done 100k, gearbox has been serviced and belts all done (body off according to the receipt) and while it needs a bit of paintwork on one door and flashes an intermittent suspension light Im very pleased with it. I have had previous model discos and Defenders but this is the most civilised one I have had. I am planning on a remap at some point when I have it more sorted though dont know who to use if anyone has any proven experience in the Yorkshire area? I also have to sort out my phone microphone ( I can hear them but they cant hear me) , sort out the rear for my dogs, and just go through that journey of discovery (pardon the pun) when you buy any secondhand car.

Hello
Just bought a Discovery 4 2010 TDV6 XS. 83k on it in Santorini Black with the beige leather. Very happy with the car, first LR, first Disco.
It has a few faults as they do.
Air con gas gone.
Only the drivers door locks on the key.
Reverse Sensors dont work.
Radio and Sat Nav no sound. (Reverse sensor related)?
I must have read every thread on the no sound subject, and am about to start tearing into it. I've bought the Fibre loop. The amp is under the seat and its a HK unit. There are two types? The red light on the fire cable blinks when you take it out. Is there a software reset for the unit? I did the battery disconnect thing but made no difference.
Will keep pushing on.

New member post. Just bought an 05, D3 SE. After two weeks of ownership I’m already learning that I have gotten myself into a very big money-pit, however I’m absolutely loving it!

Been a registered member for a while but not posted before, so here it is
Have a 2006 D3 HSE, not been without its problems in the 2 years I've had it! But love it all the same
Currently having suspension issues, any recommendations for replacement compressors welcome
Look forward to being more involved with posts

Hello there,
I thought I'd join up, rather than lurk around the edges! Just picked up my D4 and I'm currently going through the motions of getting everything shipshape. overall it is in very good condititon (particularly the interior) with a full LRSH and 2 owners at 68k.
My first project has been to remove the side steps (not to my tatste) and lucky I did, there's a bit of bubbling on the body where the plates where mounted - so it's KuRust and touch ups all round, before fitting my new sill covers (I had to butcher the old ones to get the steps off as the bolts that joind the steps to the brackets were rusty).
I'm picking up some 19s tomorrow as the 21s are also not to my taste (for sale once I have fitted new Pirelli ATRs to the 19s).
I've already fitted new carpet mats, got hold a period brochure/spec, turned off the keyless, fitted a missing wheel centre and fitted a new start/stop button.
Then there's just a few little bits to sort out, like getting the DAB to work, chaging the fuel filter housing/sensor, touch up the odd stonechip, update the nav, lubricate the mirrors and get a louvre for the panel under the steering wheel.
I've also picked up an iCarSoft LR2 v2.0 which has been useful already.
I hope to get invoved so look forward to talking to you all.
Cheers,
Ross

Hello everyone!
I already signed an option for a D3 2007 HSE. I've heard so many negative things about its costly repairs, yet I am in love... what can I say?

Hi All,
Currently have a Freelander 2 however I now really need something with 7 seats. So here to find out the pros and cons of the 3. With a view to buying one soon.
Cheers,

Hi all.
Have joined up as thinking of moving from the d2 to the d3 at some point soon and before taking the plunge want to get as much info as I can!
Have had a fair few cars and landrovers over the years, so oil stains and warning lights are nothing new.
Thanks
Baz
