Hello from a new D3 owner.
Hi,
I've just joined the forum after getting a D3.
So, my name is Graham and I live in Wiltshire. I'm a retired audio engineer but a trained mechanic thanks to Mercededs and have some experience of grass cutting machinery and Series Land Rovers at Blackpool Parks Dept. But that was over 30 years ago......
Over the past 20 years I've owned two D1's a 200TDI and a very late 300TDI and currently a D2 V8.
Been on Landyzone and the D2 forum for some time. Hope I can contribute here.
I do have some questions to ask if I may but I'll not for it here.
Graham

A Land Rover masochist from York
Hey everyone.
Looking to buy a late D3 or D4 in the near future. Currently running a D2, very well looked after and with almost 200k miles on it. It's part of the family now so won't be sold.
Those who frequent Landy Zone or the D2 Boys Club may recognise my username. I was usually active on there, sharing and gaining knowledge from other fellow owners (still am).
After deciding to go for a newer vehicle, I started looking at going Volvo, Merc, Jeep or any of the Japanese, but came to my senses and decided to stay with LR and continue suffering.
Hopefully I'll find a decent one (already have an eye on a nice D4 SDV6).
That's it for now, but I'm sure you'll be seeing some questions from me pop up eventually.

Hi Martin,
I'm Discovery 3 owner living in Mallorca.
Timing belt gave 2 weeks back and I have been reading posts on your forum. It's been a great help so thought I should give something back.
I am not a mechanic but enjoy a challenge.
I am going against common sense and doing all work body on, as I have no choice.
So far have right hand head off and in bits.

Hi guys,
After a 12ish year break from Landrovers, my midlife crisis is in full swing and I’m coming back to the fold next week with a 2013 D4 XS.
She’ll be a work horse, and is a little scrappy so I’ll be in the market for some bits and pieces once she’s sat outside my house, like a load space cover, spare wheel protector, and probably the remote access for the FBH. I’m sure there’s more I’ll think of as time goes by, and I’ll have to stay away from eBay after a few beers else snorkels, winches and lightbars will all be being added to the basket!
Oh and if anyone knows of decent independents in the leics, northants, warks area - shout out, it’d be appreciated.

New 2.7 TDV6 HSE Owner.
Hi all,
Well I have inherited a broken 06 TDV6, knocking badly! Going to attempt a repair!
Can i ask, it is possible to change the big ends with the engine still installed?
Alan.

Hello from Perthshire
Hi there,
I am Simon and having owned a Discovery 14 years ago, I decided to take the plunge again and bought a D3. 191k miles on the clock and the body work and interior are dirty and/or rough.
My other car passion is Alfa Romeos so I guess I have a masochistic side hidden away.
I am not a mechanic but am an engineer so try a variety of things when I have the time, information and tools, otherwise I have already used MMP Land Dundee and my local independent garage.
👍

Hi everyone,
Sad to say my reason for joining is to ask for help! Our Discovery 3 2.7 tdi HSE 2005 will not start. A new fuel filter, new in tank low pressure pump and still no luck so far so getting to the end of our tether. We live in France so professional help not readily available. Next thoughts are egr valves but would this stop her starting? She turns over and is so close to starting but doesn't quite make it. Battery a decent one purchased at the beginning of last year and has been charged up. Can anyone offer us any helpful advice please.

Hi all,
Just logging in to say hi from Southern California in the US. Came across you guys through the Gap diagnostic tool I recently purchased. Have had several Land Rovers, currently have a 2006 LR3. Not a DD but more for camping/overlanding. Looking forward to learning more about the 3 and who knows what else!
Take care

Hello All
Hi
I have a 2007 LR3 with all the usual issue. Generally a Fab car, great pulling power, brilliant in the snow, comfortable to drive. I can do all the hard nuts and bolts stuff but am struggling with the fault finding on the very complicated electrics
Also have a 1965 Series 2 88 inch, I can fix this car

New to disco 4
Hi all
I am about to buy a disco 4 upgrade 12 plate commercial with a 7 seat conversation
I have never done so much research with regard to buying a panel van !
It will be used for work but if my other 1/2 likes it we may sell our family Lexus 450 that hasn’t had a thing go wrong in 4 years
I have looked at warranty’s to run alongside the traders 6 month policy & I think I will buy a warranty direct to run alongside at approx £100 per month
It is an itch I have wanted to scratch for a long time so am looking fwd to it
It need a few things to make it perfect ish and I will look to find a local independent LR disco specialist to service / maintain it
Any recommendations for anyone close to Walton Surrey, am prepared to travel for good garage would be appreciated
Patrick

Hi
I've had my L3 for a few years now and every thing seems to be going wrong with it this year.
So I guess I.ll be using this site quite a lot.
