Hi all!
Been a member for a couple of months now.
Recently picked up a 2012 Disco 4 a little while back.
I used to be a LR tech for my sins, so I know my way around one!

Hi, I'm new here!
Hoping to buy my first Disco 4 on Saturday.
Trying to find somewhere that sells a GAP IID, who can deliver before this date! Any ideas would be great as I ordered one from B-A-S but they're on holiday until the friday. Which is very annoying as they should have told me this before I paid for the thing!!
Anyway, all being well this time next week I'll have an XS.
Nice to meet you
Rich

Hello,
I have hung around your pages for a number of years firstly with a Disco 3 and now with a Disco 4 Commercial. Live just outside Castle Douglas, Kirkcudbrightshire.

Hi All,
I'm new to the group, I'm looking to buy a Discovery 4.
I'm not to sure what I should be looking, any advise on thing to watch out for?
Don't have a huge budget and looking at 2010/2011.
Seems a helpful sight.
Look forward to getting to know everyone!

As Joey (from Bread) would have said 'Greetings'
My first comment would be to try and stretch to a 2012 model as you then get the 8-speed gearbox instead of the 6-speed.
Second piece of advice is to spend a few evenings (or more!) reading through various threads on here. Some of them will fill you with horror but you have to remember that many people first join a forum because they have a problem.
Thirdly, ignore anything that DSL may have to say Currently 2009 Disco 3 SE, 2013 MY D4 HSE and 2016 D4 SE
Previously:

110 V8 CSW (220k)

Hi,
I can't believe I actually know what you're talking about with the greetings comment, showing my age now.
I woukd also agree with the horror story comment. I bought a very, very cheap D3 thinking it'd need loads of work. Don't get me wrong it has had 2 new struts and an alternator, but ive just done over 1000 miles 800 of which were tiwing 2 tonne caravan, and its been spot on!
My little bit of advice woukd be to get a warranty. I got the AA one and tgats already paid for the struts and the alternator.
I've had a few good deals on here and a massive amount of help. I would have had the car at the garage several times for simple little problems if it wasn't for tgese guys!Discovery 4 GS 2009 Auto Stornoway Grey

Hi from Swansea
Hi folks,
Just had my 3rd disco a Disco 2 written off by a drunk/drugged driver who ran off so thinking of joining your ranks. My partners Fiat 500 wasalso written off. Been a green laner for 30yrs and spent the '90's trialling with a local club and racing with the national AWDC and local S. Wales clubs. Looking to do more longer overland/offroad trips abroad from next year.

New Disco 3
Hi
Just thought Id finally get around to saying hello.
Been a member for awhile but without a Disco, but this weekend its about to change.
Finally taking the big step of buying a Discovery 3, have gone for a 2007 HSE Auto with 138K on it.
Hope you'll all be understanding when the questions come, I'm an diy kind of mechanic and I'm hoping to do most jobs myself to keep her on the road.
Look forward to many years of Landrover fun again.
Regards
Brendan

Hi All,
After being an owner of Disco 3, I could have a chance to be a member of this forum. I don't wish to need your experience for the reaipment/problems on car.
