Just back into a Discovery but this time a d4 last one was a d3 been away for 2 years now with a Freelander 2 that was really good but that’s now going to become a toy 😎🏴

Hi all,
I'm new to forum. I have had a few different Land Rovers and they never stay standard. I have never had a disco 3 and I love it. I have changed all fluids, belts, oil pumps so I know it has been done.
The only issue I have had and have repaired it once with my good pal mouse is the epb. The previous owner paid a small fortune for a garage to fix with a new module, discs, pads and cables. I know have the dreaded flashing red light and had to pull the cable to release.
I think it is down to electrical as all mechanical parts are brand new. Can anyone help as I am clueless about electrics.

Hi, I'm Patryk. New to the forum, new Discovery 4 owner. 2010 V8 D4 replaced our old '99 D2 Td5 that was with us for 8 last years - now serving for some journalist on the Ukrainian front line.
The "new" car has 360kkm on it, yet in pretty good condition (not to mention the real calipers that previous owner was able to fit upside down )

Hello I’m rickyboy from Cornwall just got myself 2005 tdv6 hse 2.7 all singing all dancing loving the new motor I was a Audi man but had enough of the oil pumps failing usually down to a crap hex key drive I ended buying this disco off an old boy as spares or repair due to suspension pump failure and he also supplied a brand new one in the box with it he’s done a lot of work to the car ie suspension arm’s bushes and pins new brakes all good tyres and couple of months on mot he originally had it up £1500 anyway I decided to hit him hard with the price and offered £800 he turned it down then later on came back with £850 so i snapped his hand off the poor old when I turned up was nearly crying but said I’ve had enough and his misses said he had to get rid well on that night I replaced the pump and the suspension kicked back into life I feel like I ended up with maybe the cheapest disco 3 going there is nigerly bits that need iron out but I’ve checked her over good and can see all the work he has done and he was honest everything has been done anyway I’m happy to be on here and hello to everyone and I’m a hands on person so I will be asking for some advice and also I hope I can help other out aswell many thanks rickyboy 1977 cheers

Hi all,
New to Disco 3 ownership but not landrover's having had a D2 for 8 years before this and also have a Freelander 2.
Current plans are to build up the camping setup I had in the D2 with a few more modifications.
Hoping to find out some useful information on this big computer on wheels I have bought

Morning all, recently picked up this LR3 here in the States. UK born and bred, wanted one since I was a kid and finally managed to snag one, albeit on the other side of the pond.

I've fixed all the usual, front air shocks were bad, sunroof drains had corroded, I had to swap the solenoids in the trans and fix a few split coolant hoses.
Now here for the more specialised knowledge! Thanks all

I've had a 1991 110 200tdi for 6 years now, and my friends recently talked me into an LR3. Got a decent (fairly) rust free HSE with HD package from southern USA. It arrived with a few kinks that I'm trying to work out, and hope to learn here!

Hi all just thought I'd register to see what people think of D3 mines an 08 TDvse (of r something like that don't often look at the back !!) it has many knobs and whistles most of which I don't use if I'm honest.
I'm one of the many who had had the very famous crank issues ironically just after the warranty ran out,but keeping on top of oil changes has eased my mind since.
At one point the suspension developed its own views on what setting it would be on from extended to max to so low it would go into safe mode, oh and there was the time the front and back disagreed and I looked like something from Santa pod going down the road,
I've been lucky as I've found a local garage not a sparkly shiny dealer type it's two blokes basically operating out of a shed but very little seems to phase them ,the suspension issue turned out to be a multi plug some where that had partially come adrift from its mate was so glad not to get all the fault messages on the dash every start up.
My only current issues are the key fob that only works occasionally but in true tech if I tap it on the tow bar it seems to sort itself out mostly there are days when the tapping doesn't work I've looked into replacing the key fob but it's more than the car is worth to fix,I'm currently trying a new key case but it hasn't made much difference.
And I have a sticking caliper on the front I can't identify the culprit at the moment so I've decided to go for it and the men in the shed are fitting a new pair of calipers next week.
I may sound quite negative but this is absolutely not the case I'm thrilled with the car an amazing tow vehicle you hardly know the caravan is there.
I've used it in my business it spends most of its time full of tools and materials,then when I get motivated to clean it one of the best looking cars in and out I've had , would be nice if diesel was a bit cheaper though,

Picked up 2010 3.0TDV6.
Single owner with just, 110,000. Car was well maintained and didn't do a lot of offroading.
But aesthetically not great (was a city car with narrow street), so have some work to do there.

Hi All,
since almost nowbody in Germany has an idea of a Disco 4, often times I had to search for Solutions on Disco 3 UK.
Great communiy - glad to have signed in.
Own one of the lastest Disco 4 built 2016 and plan to to an icland offroad trip this year.
Try to get the car ready for the trip and optimize all weak points.
Dont want to go to dealers - being an engineer I love to work on the car on my own.
