Realised I’ve not posted in here yet…hi!
We bought a 2014 HSE in black last weekend.
I’ve not been allowed to drive it much so far, but seems like an awesome car!
I used to have a Defender for a while, it’s nice to be back in a Land Rover

Welcome all newcomers.
If you have a fault you are looking for help with can I suggest that you firstly use the search facility in the menus at the top, to search for information on your fault. There is a wealth of information on this forum with lots of information.
If you cannot find the information you need, I suggest you write up your issue as an fault in the relevant section for your vehicle below ( D3 or D4). That way you are much more likely to get advice from others that may assist.
Good luck allGary

Hi All,
I simply love this car (2015 3.0, SDV6 HSE) but the older it gets ( around 145 kkm) the more issues occur. This by itself is not a big surprise but i recently discovered that i can save hundrets and thousands of Euros by just attempting to fix some stuff myself ...
My most recent 3 issues were: water in the footwell (had this twice and new connection tubes now fixed it hopefully forever) , the Actuator of the tailgate gave up ( fixed it myself with the help of youtube) and .. a reocurring issue and the reaon why i joined the forum in order to find more answers: its the third year in a row that my main battery gives up after approx. 12 - 14 month - hence way too early. I had the car at LR and they tested for minimal current ongoingly draining ghe battery but couldnt find anything (the attmept was 300 e) .. Now the same again .. cranking voltage is dipping below 9.5. v and its soon that its not enough to start. I will now search the forum for answers - in case anyone reads this and can set me up with a tip or link to a thread i would be most greatful. Kind regards, Tom
p.s. Just in case 3 add. points: yes I buy quality batteries, yes I also drive enough longer distance trips, and no, unfortunately I do not have a OBD2 device (think I have to get one ? which one ? )

Hi All!
Kleber here, living in England at the moment.
I have been in the forum for a while, but I guess I forgot to introduce myself.
I have got a 2009 Discovery 3 called Dorothy. Have had it for 2 years, so far I have been through:
_The Christmas tree crisis
_The Park Brake light from hell
And currently going through leaky suspension, at least with help of this forum I found its location and will fix it next weekend.
Currently in that moment of thinking "should I sell it and get a characterless and dull trouble free car?"
We will see... we will see...

Hi all.
After 16 years of ownership our beloved Toyota Rav4.2 bit the dust a couple of weeks ago. Underbody rust.
Sad but not too sad because for a couple of years I've known what would replace it - and it arrives this Thursday, Nov 21st.
Jan 2010 Discovery 4 XS.
I am painfully aware of the number of problems that potentially await (my friends have kindly pointed this out) but hey ho!
I am not a professional but I like a bit of spanner. I hope not too much though.
So - my first question.
Cambelt was done about 20K miles ago.
There was a main dealer service (the 175K one) in April 2023, actual mileage 143,507. Nothing since.
Now mileage is 149,000 and nothing has been done since the 2023 service.
For my amusement I enquired the cost of the next service at our local LR dealer. £916.00.
So that's not happening.
I reckon first step is a service kit for oil and filters at home.
Anything else I should do as a matter of urgency?
All the best, Bridger

Hi Folks, this is my second D3 and I picked it up for just £475 at auction. I'm getting it MOT'd and have put together a new video to introduce it. managed to fix the steering issue with a zip tie. Check it out...
