Belated hello from a very cold snowy part of Staffordshire. I have rejoined the LR fraternity after many years in the cosseted German wilderness of BMW and Audi but got fed up of such easy car ownership and not being able to anticipate what may fail next , so have taken the plunge and bought a 2014 D4 HSE which todate I am very happy with but know it may bite me at some stage so bought through the LR dealer network to give me a fighting chance of getting it repaired without having to put SWMBO on the streets.
Previous LR's were a discovery and 2 FFRR's . The discovery was a delight to own and rarely if ever let me down. The 2 RR's were a constant challenge, even though they were both relatively new cars , the first one (Ex Frankie Dettori with blocks removed from pedals) was one of the most under powered cars I have ever driven , when I saw a hill my heart would sink. The second one was lovely until the transmission decided it had had enough, thank goodness for LR extended warranty they picked up a bill for £8K !!!
Great forum

Hello all!
Soon hoping once I've sold my BMW 530D I will be a Disco 3 owner in the new year!
Been searching up on here a lot recently and feel that a Disco 3 will be the next car for me!

Quick hi from me, I forgot to say hello in this thread a good few years ago when I joined. Had the disco now for a good number of years, it gives me something to fix, spend money on, curse park on my drive every evening and weekend.
Good to meet you all

Took your time.
Welcome.
I was a normal heterosexual chap, but in these new woke awakenings I now identify as a Wardrobe.

It wasn't a warm one, just a tepid welcome.
I'm not feeling that generous.

Hello all,
Was a member of Martin's Freelander forum the last 3 years, currently looking to swap the wife's FL2 for a D4.
Fl2 has been great but always wanted a disco.

Hi again.
Having sold my 05 D3 HSE back in the summer and regretted it ever since, I've now returned to the LR fold with another 05 D3 HSE. Not a great deal of difference to my previous one as ended up with another log burner (was looking for a V8 but nothing suitable within reasonable budget).
I have got black leather on this one which is so much nicer than the tan I had previously and a couple of bolt on mods with the new one including RAI (not sure about that), front soft a-bar with spots which I do like, reverse camera and a decent after market sump guard.
No LR Bluetooth which will need sorting as installed parrot U/S (despite seller's fibs) so that will need sorting.
Also hope to upgrade wheels at some point to late D3 HSE option as really like those.
Anyway, glad to be back in a D3 as hate my BMW 328i and having just completed a 3 hour run in her today fingers crossed she'll not turn out to be too harsh on my wallet!----------------------------------------

New but not so new from Costa Rica
¿¿¿¿¿ Question ?????
I don't seem to be able to set my country , any ideas?
No I don't own a Disco 3 but one can always dream of a tdv6 manual.
I work in a biggish garage in the North and I am the only one in the North sorting out electronic problems with Land Rovers.
And since D3s never have electronic problems it has always been great to visit this forum, I learned a lot of things here for which I am very grateful.
So maybe I can be of use from time to time, guess I am quite good at hot climate problems

Newbie
Hi all,
I’m a newcomer to Landrover and have just my 1st ever Discovery, a 2005 HSE AUTO with 153,000 + on the clock.. driving back from the selllers, I noticed a juddering under acceleration from around the 40/45 mph region. It seemed more noticeable if I was in cruise control or climbing an incline. The seller told me that as far as he was aware it had not had a gearbox oil/filter change or flush and I can find nothing in the service records to show it might have had.. reading on the forums it seems to be a common problem usually cured by the above procedure can anyone shed any light on this or offer any words of advise please

Just wanted to say Hi. Bought my first disco 3 at the weekend, and I am well chuffed with it. I’m loving driving it.
