Well that's it - decision(s) made...

After days of faffing I've just sent the email off with my final-final-final spec.

What I've ended up with is:

Discovery 4 XS
Orkney Grey
Privacy glass
Seat pack
Remote climate (I know, I know - cheaper added afterwards but I'm paranoid about warranties...)
Keyless entry (wasn't going to bother then went to the shops and got back to the car with an armful of stuff...)
Heated steering wheel
Rear camera (had a test drive in a car with one and thought it'd be a help in such a big motor)
Towbar

Longish options list, but still c£4k cheaper than an HSE with towbar and privacy)

Roll on April/May! Local dealer did have an xs demonstrator with seat pack and camera I could have had for £43k at the end of March with maybe 3k on it, but that had no towbar and no privacy - and the deal I've got means I'm only paying c£3k extra (so say £2k when you've added towbar etc) for a brand new one.

Towbar wouldn't be anything like £1k surely?

No - but if I wanted to add remote climate, privacy etc it'd be getting on for a grand.

And i thought about full size spare but I do low mileage, it'll be almost all on road and I don't tow anything (towbar's for carrying bikes).

Remote climate can be added and activated by dealer in their own workshop and so if done and fitted during PDI would also have full LR warranty and is chaper than factory option. Alternativley buy from Nick off this form, fit yourself and get dealer to activate still getting warranty Thumbs Up

Must say I didn't realise dealers could add remote climate - I knew various folks on here could, but was worried in case it ever came to a warranty claim.

Ah well - the order's in now!
