My west coast of Scotland trip....
We have just got back from a 2 week holiday on the fabulous west coast of Scotland. We based ourselves at Kinlochewe Caravan club site, which is excellent. The scenery surrounding it is fantastic.
Because of the remoteness of the area, be prepared to drive lots of miles, on single track roads, and very little other traffic (we were there in a low season, so might get busier in holiday times) The driving is very enjoyable, but beware of putting your foot down, we saw quite a few speed traps, and deer that would make a mess of your car should you hit one!
We did not experience any midges whatsoever, however all the shops are well stocked with Smidge, Avon So Soft, and full head/shoulders midge nets, so beware!
The wildlife is prolific. I saw eagles, owls, deer, seals, and the best spot of all, an otter!
We were blessed with lovely weather for the 1st week, and snow in the second!
Anyway, here are some of my better photo's.

And best of all, you don't actually need to go that far north for scenery like that to start, an hour north of Glasgow it just suddenly changes, although the sky in your pictures is a funny colour???? .Joined the BMWX5 45e group

Great pics as usual....looks like everyone that ventured up the West Coast over the last few weeks has been generally pretty lucky with the weather
And I have to agree with Ceekay,it's best done in a Discovery.....put it another way,how badly ruined would this photos and views be with a Cayenne plonked in the middle of the shot ? "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to speak out and remove all doubt" ?.....what rubbish...

You went at the best time, as from end of May it'll be into midgie season!
Amongst the wild life spotted, did you happen to spot a Pine Marten.
I got the rare sight of one in the wild on my last trip north, lovely creature
Very nice pics btw ...... but did you have to show pics of your D4?
Brings back past memories

I spent a week waiting to see a pine marten whilst staying on Loch Awe, then on the last day he made an appearance whilst i was preoccupied so only my wife saw him!
