Just done 4,000 odd km in two weeks with the offroad camper. Went to Longreach via Dirranbandi, Mitchell, Injune, Canarvan, Springsure, Tambo, Isisford, Longreach and then back down to Jundah, Windorah, Noccundra and Tibooburra. All roads closed for home except Broken Hill Nyngan etc and then back to Mudgee. Got stuck 40km north of Tibooburra just inside the Warri gate and camped the night in the middle of the road on a 50m long bitumen strip. Pics of my poor HSE are available if someone wishes to put them on the site. (I could learn how if explained) The car went like a dream except the only problem was that the mudflaps are well and truly stuffed by the excess mud. Not enough give in them. Averaged 14.25 litres per 100km towing the camper.
So, should my mudflaps be replaced under warranty?? 2006 HSE TDV6 Bonatti Grey, ECB bull bar, tropical roof, LG Next G car kit, Tom Tom GPS, UHF, Mitchell Bros tow bar, Kimberley Kamper Limited Edition camper trailer and 23 foot Haines Signature half cabin (Towed separately!)

Try it out you might find it too easy.
Mudflaps under warranty I tried and was told it is driver abuse that damaged them therefore not covered

PCH - Pics (5 of them) should now be in my new gallery, entitled (funnily enough) "Pbobs gallery"!. We camped on that bit of tar for an overnight and until midday the next day until the road dried out enough to move on.
Caver D3 - will give consideration to making up flaps, I did wonder about it, but might see if L/R will come to the party first, although they are no good in design as they have no give at all.
Thank you both for your help.

What was the snatch strap on the front for?
I will out there in July: Birdsville, French Line to Mt Dare and back along the Rig Road to Mungarannie then across to Innaminka, Cameron's and then back home. I am hoping we get a dry spell unlike your trip and my last trip. 06 TDV6 SE with many LR and after-market extras. Used only on weekends and trips out west.

The snatch strap was attached to a Triton (with no camper trailer on him) a couple of times, to drag us onto that bitumen strip. My camper locked its wheels up with mud in the guards and was so sticky, impossible to remove with a shovel. We did about 4kms in about two hours. At one stage the Triton slipped into the table drain and got stuck and we only just got it out. 2006 HSE TDV6 Bonatti Grey, ECB bull bar, tropical roof, LG Next G car kit, Tom Tom GPS, UHF, Mitchell Bros tow bar, Kimberley Kamper Limited Edition camper trailer and 23 foot Haines Signature half cabin (Towed separately!)
