And, to answer the subject of the thread - what I call 'Off Roading' to date is a couple of forest trails nearby that could easily be managed in any car (except for when it snowed). But I have just signed up for my first proper off road day in a fortnight's time, so soon the situation will change a little Very Happy

BTW this trip was with my trusty KIA Sorento - can't wait to get down there with the D4

 LR Discovery 4 XS pulling an Airstream 532 Caravan also own (since new) a 1996 MGF

Australia 

Offroad is driving the Canning Stock Route in Western Australia - Wiluna to Halls Creek - Approx 1900km on dirt and sand and no bitumen with just one fuel stop enroute or until recently arrange a fuel dump about mid way. There are no garages, fuel stations, AA or anything else to assist. What you need on the trip you need to take with you or arrange for air drops.

Mount Raynier in the first pic?? Did 3 months rock sample collection in Oregon Coastal hills and Olympic peninsular but did have he odd trip into the Cascades. Best was Crater Lake. Smile
