Why is it neighbours are always too busy to help yet for some reason they knock on my door at 8 am asking if I’ve got a tyre inflater
Then standing there for the next 5 x mins expecting me to sort out there flat tyre as they don’t know what to do as I’ve said no
My days of lending out tools etc to neighbours are long gone
Erm , have u got a spare , oh yes I didn’t think of that , then maybe put that on and go into a tyre centre to have ur flat repaired or call a mobile type centre , oh how much will that be, erm, call them
Christ almighty , what ever happened to common sense without knocking on my door to bloody ask
Well that’s my moan for the day

I have inflated a tyre for my neighbour. But she is in her 70s and a widow so I don't mind.
Funnily enough, when we first moved in, we were both a bit scared of her. Ex-head teacher and still had the bearing. Over time we've grown to be friends and during lock down kept an eye on her, chatted over the garden fence, picked up the occasional bit of food her delivery had forgotten etc.
I'm still a bit scared of her though... Visiting from rrsport.co.uk

Being woken at 04:00 by the sound of a horse smashing his way out of the stable to have a meander round the place. I did what every bloke would do - elbowed the wife in the side and sent her out in the dark. Didn't get back to sleep.

My grandmother was a very strict teacher (you had to be in those days with sixty pupils in the class). It always made me laugh that people in their fifties and sixties would meet her in the town, say "Hello, Mrs Hill" and stand there talking whilst looking at the ground like they had been told off.

Large Corporation Laziness
On one today
Why do large corporations still think it is acceptable to hide behind a COVID label saying we are very sorry we are no good at doing our job but we have a great excuse
Dear Large Corporation, please note that your home-working staff are busy watching Thomas The Tank Engine and trying to control the kids - that's why it takes you 40 minutes to answer the phone.
Nat West Business Mastercard before you ask. Took me 30 minutes to even find a phone number - why hide?
Bet if I wanted a new product they would answer in seconds

Before knowing any Welsh-speakers, I had some signs made for our gate(s): one in English; one in Welsh. The English one says "Do not open the gate: dogs running free". They've been there for six months and only today am I told the Welsh version translates as "Do not open the gate: have a running dog without paying".
