The kicker is the track up to my house is covered with snow and ice and there’s no way a large transit type van (only two wheel drive) would get up there, let alone get out again. The lack of any tracks up or down the last part of the drive (over fresh snow) also leads me to believe that the statement by DPD is a pile of doggy do ! I want to see the sweets before I get into your windowless van... I'm not stupid!

So how do these people react when they see curved, seed bearing structures on sale in their local shop, on display for all to see? There are two rules for success,
1. Never tell everything you know.

More than likely it was just a random word with no malice behind it at all. I’m sure the pictures in that report are used as an example to others on how to pose with the best compo face. I’m sure the community at large wasn’t even remotely bothered or outraged as was commented.2006 TdV6 HSE.

Anybody can take offense at anything
Especially if the police are involved and some ambulance-chasing lawyer has suggested compensation may be forthcoming
And yes, I appreciate this comment may very well offend somebodyUncle Ray's spare wheel protector
Limo Tint
Blackvue front & rear dashcam
Cruise control switch pack
Bodsy's remote for FBH
More than likely it was just a random word with no malice behind it at all.
so read the word and think "er... maybe not" and press whichever button generated the random word again.
a bit of thought added to the process simply removes any potential issues down the line.

Agree. It is a bit crass. I can understand the offence with that one, particularly when bananas are thrown onto pitches at black players.New Defender L663 110 SE (known as Noddy!)

There are many racists who liken black people to be "apes and monkeys” and throwing bananas at them, as Moo mentions, is unbelievably still happening.
Bananas on display for sale are totally benign, but when thrown or unexpectedly presented to a black person reaffirms racism in that it relates the target to an ape/monkey.
It may well have been an innocent mistake by someone not thinking carefully or it may not. Sadly racism within the UK Police Force is well known and documented.2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE

If every one who takes offence at the slightest comment or action, were to grow some balls and not make an issue of it, it stands more chance of going away.
I refer to a friend of mine by his nickname of 'Chalky' even though he is as black as can be. He uses choice names to call me, but we never fall out over it and have a laugh at others expense before they realise we know each other.
It's the same for Welsh, Irish and Scots, us English have nicknames for them, and they us, but do we complain all the time, no.
The more these 'minority' groups whinge, the less sympathy I have for them.
In my previous work, on a couple of occasions I had to attend the MOBO awards, can you imagine the uproar were there to be awards just for white artists.

That's entirely irrelevant to the subject in question. As the Police person who gave the password wasn't even known to the family, let alone a friend. I'm sorry but that's not comparable to friendly banter with a mate.
At best it was a thoughtless error and a stupid one at that when the UK Police Force is desperately trying to improve its public image and stamp out racism.2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE
