What's inside these?
I'm thinking of mounting something on the flat plastic parts of the below interior roof components using self-tapping screws... Can anyone tell me what is inside the bits in the areas I've circled?

The front center trim is held in place with a few clips or so. Just pull it “gently”, and you too will be able to see what’s underneath. There are a few power cables (lighting, microphone) so don’t go pulling like no tomorrow.
Not sure what the interior alarm sensor housing contains but pretty sure it is also held in place similarly.

Yep, just give each a gentle firm tug on one side and they’ll pop off. You’ve got loads of space above e the front one especially.2008 HSE Stornoway Grey

Thanks. I'm thinking of screwing an overhead tablet mount to it. I'm hoping 1. that I don't screw into anything vital, and 2. that the weight of the mount plus tablet (Kindle Fire) doesn't just pull it straight off the roof!! D3 SE TDV6

I think the middle one is the only option for my purpose. As previously mentioned, I hope the weight doesn't drag it off the roof! I'm beginning to think it will if they come off that easily—especially on the move. Kindle Fires are quite weighty (600g).D3 SE TDV6

The middle one is designed to be replaced with a flip down tv/dvd so there’s mounting points in the roof once you pull it off. Might be worth looking at fitting your mount to one of them and having it come through a hole on the casing once you re fit it?2008 HSE Stornoway Grey
