whats this pipe??
hi all.
first post so hope its in the right place.
i have recently bought a insurance damaged/salvage 06 disco3 and am just starting to get it sorted.
there is no damage around the front or under the bonnet but when i looked the pipe in the picture had melted across what looks like a heat exchanger of some kind.
i have the rubbish haynes manual and have looked everywhere online but cannot find what this pipe is.
at first i thought i was of the screen wash bottle but all that works fine..
any help would be appreciated!

The heat exchanger looking thing is a fuel burning heaterG4 Gone ...but not forgotten

White Plastic end would normally go in here

Has it not just been cut or worn through by the battery box top? That is the intake silencer and shouldn’t really have enough heat to burn through the pipe!?
