Evening, I'm after recommendations for a reliable place to do a wheel alignment check on my D4 in North Birmingham. The two front tyres are wearing on the outside edge, especially the nearside which is wearing at a rate of knots, i have read somewhere that D4's tend to do this but mine seems really bad... Any help appreciated! Never say never! After all, I bought a LandRover

Sorry can’t recommend anyone but I’d check the lower arm bushes before getting an alignment

Any Kwik fit garage will be fine, they have laser Hunter alignment machines that are the best IMO.
I think its £60 front alignment and £25 rear. Obviously it’s worth having both front and rear done on the Discovery.
You also get a print out of before and after alignment. Defender 110 2.4 TDCi Utility Station Wagon.

www.alignmycar.co.uk It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

I was under the impression that tight tolerance mode was only necessary if your Disco was new or new bushes etc. As when every bush is worn, the TTM doesn’t really work?
Either way, I’ve used Kwik Fit and am happy with the service and alignment print out. Defender 110 2.4 TDCi Utility Station Wagon.

I recommend against going to Kwik Fit... they failed to torque up my alignment bolts properly causing them to come loose and damage the chassis alignment guides... I had to have my car recovered from Scotland to London.

Update: BMTR did the alignment - Hunter Kit, it wasn't put in to TTM but it was a way out, I had to replace a track rod and a track rod end as he couldn't shift it to adjust. At least all the wheels are pointing roughly in the same direction now... Never say never! After all, I bought a LandRover
