Wheel bearings

Making the most of the down time.

Got the hubs all off. I have to say so far they are the easiest hubs I have ever removed. Certainly a better job than on the old Ford Focus that we have. That was a poxy job.

I think I could have got a few more miles out of them but hey, it's only money. Laughing

Just waiting on the parcel from AF now. Thumbs Up

Did you get the Optimal ones or Timken? I fitted an Optimal one to the RRS a few weeks ago.

No, I just ordered the kit. Censored Shocked

https://www.advancedfactors.co.uk/lr014147...2008-p.asp
I have the 32mm hub nut and it looked to me like the choice was 32 or 36mm. The 36mm not being part of the kit.

Am I wrong and what do I need to check?

According to AF, newer GKN shafts are 36mm, original and OEM shafts are 32mm.

If yours is original, it'll be 32mm.

Mine was 32mm and I used the new nut in the kit.

Common problem. Some just rip off and leave, others replace.

You need part RPM500200 if you want to replace. Personally, I would replace. It only takes 20 minutes to get the strut off.
