Is this really a thing? Do I need a second locking wheel nut?
"There's another easier method that thieves use if you only have one lock per wheel; it involves over torquing the other nuts by a good amount (this can be risky, as you can shear off a stud if your lugs are already over torqued), this takes the pressure off the lock nut and you can simply unscrew it by hand"
I thought, these days, there were more vehicle thefts than wheel thefts.
Apart from non-RLD protected spares..

Why go to the hassle of nicking a wheel that’s on the hub when it’s child’s play to take the spare?

Those on here may have one but I’d bet that is a very, very small percentage of owners. Most peeps have a life!

Will do, especially as it’s not due to be raining tomorrow! Just got to avoid Yogi and his friends, as in avatar!! If I get eaten by one no fighting over me Engel, Oztent or assorted D3 parts that still clutter up my junk room!
PS I don’t have to run faster than the bear, I just have to run faster than Mrs DSL!!

Try it
Down under they just flip the car over, it's at just the right height, take all the wheels & burn the remainder. Seen hundreds of cars on their back.
