I have recently bought a set of 20" stormers from AJS and am to yet put them on as LR seem to have my disco more than I do recently. At the moment waiting for EGR valves to be replaced and dont want to put the wheels on if its going to affect my warranty or give them a reason to make me pay for the work.
So the question really is, will a wheel upgrade from SE 18" to the 20" affect anything?
If so ill wait till everything is fixed again before i put them on.
Cheers Guys

apart from the attitude from the delear no they wont.
I had this same issue on my TD5 (had 19" RR alloys on it), dealer whinged about them not being standard, and on my D3 when it went in with RRS 19's (before my 20's), they even commented then, even though they had one for sale with RRS 19's on with the wrong spec tyres on it. They shut up when I pointed that out.
It seems like any excuse not to honour warranty work, although I understand they have to prove that the modification, whatever it may be, is the cause of the fault in order to avoid them fixing an issue.

Thanks Al, thats answered my question! Dont think they are going to be able to link EGR's to Wheels!!! can soon change em back for any other warranty issues. Looks like they'll be going on when i get it back then!

I had a chat with one of the local master techs about fitting other wheels to my D3 and was advised not to fit anything other than what comes standard, optional with the vehicle.
Basically, if the D3 came with 20, 22's etc as an optional upgrade, then there is no problems, however with no 20, 22's being available through LR, then the franchise/LR would not cover any warranty to ball joints, wheel bearings etc.
Anyway, thats what i was told.

thats what I said (and what else would you expect LT to say), but they have to prove that the change had caused the issue.

Mine had been on for 18 months out of the three year warranty.
Hasn't caused any steerining/suspension problems whatsoever.
And no comments from Dealer.
I've ran them now for around 65k miles so far. ...... always on the road less travelled 🚧
