Hi and welcome,
Mine is located behind EPB-switch, there is good place for timer, which you actually dont want to use because you want to install gsm-relay to switch it on by phone.

you could also mount it in in the roof courtesy light housing - then run the cable under the roof lining and down the A-Pillar Duncan

In the roof courtesy light housing is also my idea. Looks good.

I put mine on the roof courtesy light. Its quite easy to run the wire up the A pillar and under the roof lining as stated.

Mine is on the courtesy light , you can tell if its on as it lights up when running too.
You can also put 12v remote module behind the light as there is lots of room.
