Which Tyre?

Well it's time now for a set of 19" tyres to replace the original Scorpions.

I have decided against MTR's because of road noise/mpg plus I don't off road.

I do like the look of an off road tyre though.

What are the the best tyres to buy? Would like a change from the Scorpions.

Thanks.

Can vouch for what Andy says - I fitted a set of ATR's 3000 miles ago and they are superb both on and off road. Very quiet on road, great grip in wet and dry. Off road they seem about as good as my old AT2 Grabbers - just don't look quite as good Rolling Eyes

I'm sure you won't go far wrong with a set of these Thumbs Up

Thanks for the reply's. ATR's it is then.

Do you have the tyre description to hand including the load rating etc so I can start calling around?

I would prefer to buy from you Andy but I'm in Nottingham and you don't do mail order, sorry.

Hi Clarabella and Andy,

I'm coming up to tyre change time now too so would be interested to know how you got on with the ATRs ?

I don't really do off road either but the original Pirelli Scorpion Zeros only lasted 25k miles. I then fitted Good Year wranglers that have lasted 35k miles.

How long will the Pirelli ATRs last I wonder ?

Hello Martrum,

Fitted the ATR's today and have covered around 150 miles. They feel great. Steering feels more responsive and there seems to be less roll around corners.

No noise either, very pleased.

Not sure how long they will last, the Scorpions only lasted 18k miles.

Cheers.
