Whitecliffe 4x4 day - awesome

Just back from a very very very wet day at the whitecliffe 4x4 centre.

What can I say - all started off pretty tame but at the end of the day am I simply staggered at what a standard D2 on off road tyres will clamber up and down. Descents I couldn't actually walk down it just laughed at.

Mud on sideways cambers that had us struggling to walk across it just took in its stride.

Best days driving experience I've ever been on - proper thinking day oh picking lines and gear selection, when to apply throttle or not.

The instructor said the D2 is impressive but reckoned the D3 he's had on the course was another level.

Glad it rained all day, proper fun.

I'd seriously recommend this type of day out tackling natures finest to anyone.

Been around there in my D3 and D4 quite a few times, great fun. Should have said you going and I would have come up to say hello as I'm only 15mins down the road and know the owner.

Plenty of pictures of Whitecliff4x4 site in my gallery as well as my avatar Wink

Just waiting for the wife to download all the pics and I'll get some posted up.

I bet it was awesome in the d3&4 ?

The owner said there was nothing on the course that has ever stopped them - bonkers !

Yup, we sure have. That'll have been Geralidine. I've driven every inch of the site in both D3 & D4 and can vouch for it being awsome fun. By the way, would your initials be DD, if so congrats on winning the trophy on the day Thumbs Up

Some years back we used to run multi-vehicle days which as well as 4x4s included hover crafts (not at that site but down the road in a field) and my personal favorite a 6-wheel drive Stalwart anphibious vehicle - great fun. Shame the Stoli and hovercrafts became uneconomical to run Crying or Very sad

Lol lol how on earth did you find that out ? Yup that's me. Lead the field from start to finish.

I was under Geraldine's instruction all day, a great lass running a great set up in a stunning location . Saw a couple of perrigrin falcons during the day.

Those sound like proper toys to me !

Deffo going back for another session - make sure I get another couple of plunges down the screamer.

As I said, I know Geraldine; and I help out as an instructor on weekends when they have bigger groups so I know the setup and team real well. Great bunch and they know their stuff and how to have fun Thumbs Up

Let me know next time you come down and I'll come up with the D4.

Oh will deffo drop you a line next time we are down.

We are normally in the Forrest over Xmas getting away or walking the dogs at some point.

Trouble is, I keep hinting to the wife that the next purchase will be a D4 and if I see one up close and personal I will have to find a way to have one - so perhaps that's a bad idea !!!!! Lol

Lovely neck of the woods you live in there fella .
