Who'll do tracking?

Think my front two wheels are off alignment - spotted my stack of roadtyres and the front two are worn more on the inside edge.

Is it the stealer does it of kwik-fit/ tyre bloke?

I think that the D3 needs to be told to behave and be put into calibration mode (or something like that) where the suspension height is controlled within very tight tolerances so that the wheel-aligner-people can do their job properly.

I would think that there are probably two options:

1. Leave it with the dealers, save yourself a headache, but pay for the privilege

2. Pop into the dealers for them to enable 'tight tolerance mode' via IDS, then go and get it aligned and then return to the dealer to pop it back into normal mode

Depending on the dealer I would suspect that option 2 is the same as option 1 - the only difference is that you pay them to take it to be aligned for you - I don't think that most dealers do this in-house but I might be wrong

Hope this helps, Thumbs Up

tanters, had the four wheel alignment done today at Stratstones. £86.09 don't know if that's a good price or not. Car drives much better as it was pulling left a little before. Hopefully that's put an end to the insides wearing.

They didn't even question the stormers Thumbs Up

60 euro in Advance S.They don't put it in alignment mode but I suspect none of them do over here.Stuarts in Dublin use Advance as it happens , the fella on the desk informed me.They give you a printout of pre adjustment data/values and apres adjustment for comparison.Youll find alot of places that do alignment but not full camber/caster/toe etc

Mine has started pulling ever so slightly to the left, got it booked into the stealers Wed 10th for a geometry check, will report back with my argument if they want to charge for this on a vehicle less than 12 months old.

Most or All the Advance outlets have some form of alignment but not all have the setup that reads/adjusts camber caster & toe.I know that the one in Naas does and also the one on Nangor road.

Might be worth bookmarking some of these threads
