So tonight my windscreen cracked so now to get a new screen. Just been reading a lot of threads on Pilkington/LR screens, has anyone had a Pilkington Optikool fitted recently and from which company? Don't want a battle so thought I'd try the best option first.
Also do I need to contact my insurance company or will the glass company do it? Never had a replacement screen fitted, only a repair

Looks like they did a cracking job. Out of interest Robbie do you know if Nationwide would have supplied you with Pilkington if they'd supplied?

Scott at Nationwide sorted the screen direct with Dan. They fit either Pilkington OEM or if they cannot get their hands on any they go direct to Duckworths for LR badged Pilkington glass, but they asked me to call the insurance people to confirm the details ahead of the order. The insurance (Admiral), glass fitters and Duckworths were all very slick and I prefer taking a vehicle to a proper workshop, especially in the current weather.

Might give them a call then. Gainsborough is only 40 mins away so they may come out to me, have a decent workshop or a couple of grain stores they can use if the weathers crap'16 Volvo XC90 R Design Bursting Blue (Vera)

I know they routinely go to Coningsby, which is a fair bit further away than your location. You will have to confirm that they have an arrangement with your insurance company.
