Will IID BT work on a 2013 Jag XF?
Hi all
My brothers Jag XF 2013MY (x250) has thrown up an engine management light and gone into limp mode. Am I right in saying the GAP IID tool will read the error codes etc on this?

Hi
I tried my iidtool on swmbo Jaguar XF 3.0 as she had a engine light on and it didn't work.
You can buy the software off gap.
Called the AA out they read the codes turn out to be one of the 2 MAF sensor.
Good luck

Strange paddington, Mine worked a treat and found the same problem! Quick trip to ECP and he is back up & running.
I think they completely changed the model & components at MY2013 (before that it was ford components running on mondeo chassis i believe but could stand corrected) I wonder if that is the difference? Out of interest what year is the one you tried it on?

Mine works on my 2014 F Type, I had to get a special license from Pat at Gap.

Ah probably worth mentioning it worked but in limited mode, as it would with any vehicle that does not have the VIN registered to the reader. Able to read fault codes, scan ECU’s etc etc from the off but can not unlock features etc.
Was it registering the VIN to give full functions you purchased Gareth or did you need to purchase something to get it to do the basics?
Im just thinking get the info noted here & then if anyone searches the forum in future (as I did yesterday) the answers are here

I bought a licence to vin lock it to my Jag. I’ve no idea if it had basic functionality without the license, as I bought it direct from GAP with licenses for my D4 and the Jag. I had to update the tool with a special file, but that was dead easy as part of the initial setup.
Maybe time I sent an email to Pat at GAP, on a previous email he told me that GAP were working on support for the F Pace.In Spain - 2018 F Pace - Down and out's Velar
In UK - Dare not say on this Forum
Gone - Lots of Lode Lane vehicles.
