will suspension always throw a code that IID tool will see?

06 LR3, 220K Miles, AMK Compressor, Gap IID BT

If my front valve block and/or compressor was malfunctioning would the IID definitely show a fault? My front corners lower evenly overnight to the bump stops with the air suspension fuse pulled... I had a fault for the rear valve block (still do after replacing it, so assume electrical) but rear corners will now stay up overnight after the swap.

Also, my compressor runs for way too long. Vehicle visually appears to be correct height. Live values are stable, but compressor temp climbs too high so I manually shut it down, I feel like it would run indefinitely, and whatever is supposed to protect it is not doing its job. I cant hear a leak and the car doesnt drop so fast that I can see it going down, so why is the compressor continuously running and where is the air going?

Only code I get is C1A34.

Hello

If the ECU can detect the situation, it will register a fault that will be picked up by the IIDTool. In this specific case, I would assume its not meeting the ECU fault tests criteria.

ECU protects the compressor using the temperature sensor fitted. Menu--Live Value--Suspension, monitor the temperature. From LR;

Compressor Head Temperature Sensor

LIFTING FILLING RESERVOIR
Stop 140°C (284°F) 130°C (266°F)
Start 120°C (248°F) 110°C (230°F)
Compressor Brush Temperature Sensor

LIFTING FILLING RESERVOIR
Stop 140°C (284°F) 130°C (266°F)
Start 120°C (248°F) 110°C (230°F)

My guess is that you have an air leak. Either both from air bags, hoses of the valve block itself. You are on the right track...

Cheers

Thank you! Those temp guidelines give me some peace of mind. My C2101 connector to the rear valve block was bad (wont stay clipped in securely) and I do have a leak up front but still trying to find it.

it won't show a code of overnight drops.
