Winchs - Genuine LR Parts or Aftermarket ??

Hi All
First post, so bare with the newbie. Recently picked up my LR4 after and now wondering what to do with it. I've already added a tuning box with fantastic results...and I'm now considering a winch for my off roading adventures.

I noticed Landrover do a winch option and protection plate but was wondering are there any other options ? Does the LR3 option fit ?

Or is this just a pointless way of spending money ???

Your comments and pointers would be much appreciated.

Robert

hang on don't just drop that and casually move on! Shocked

there are a few on here who would like to hear more on this I'm sure Thumbs Up

on the winch front can't help much sorry but i would say unless you think your going to do stuff that may have a use for a winch then it probably is a pointless way of spending your money. Question

Hi Bolok, welcome Thumbs Up

I dont know if the current D3 winch tray etc fits the D4, possibly.

re the winch, If you can afford the £1900 or so I would get one - you never know when you might need it - if you do get stuck in the bad weather or in a ditch and could have recovered yourself with the winch, rather than spend hours waiting for a recovery truck, it will have been worht every penny.

Fitting the winch will ensure you can get through anything Thumbs Up

I will definatly have a winch on my next LR, even if I dont intend taking it off-road.
