Try and fit them in a warm workshop having warmed them up first. It may help to prevent the breakages.

Yep as Bill said, done mine in my garage, which is heated, its the fronts that are a pain, I found putting the front in and then at the rear, leaving the top out, then get some more of the front, back to the back working towards the middle, then the last foot or so in the middle you can bend over downwards, in then up if that make sense. Confused

I had the type that fits in the glass runner on D2 and it caused the glass to scratch as dirt etc got in between the glass and the perspex.

Need to clean the car more often……. but seriously in the years that i had them, never had that problem with them.

See nowadays that statement would be so true! but back in the D2 days I was a proper sad car cleaner/polisher, now I really cant be arsed!

:roll laugh: :roll laugh: never personally had a D1 or D2, well the wife had a D2 but I never went in it, If memory serves me right, I seem to remember that the windows were not as steady as the D3, I mean they seemed to move about a bit when going up and down, weaker runners made of thinner ,material or thinner glass Confused

Then you need to start cleaning the car, you even get to do some stretching when doing the roof and squats for the wheels, could even do 1 handed pressups and clean under the tyre. Laughing Laughing
