Michelin stealth now fitted so will post what they're like later.

Nearside was RAC branded from B&Ms and lasted about 8 months ... only saw it was knackered when I removed it. It had been quiet and cleaned whole sweep.

Identical blade on drivers side was very noisy but did clean full sweep.

Update …

The Michelin Stealths are good so far ! Some noise in use but nothing compared to last few wipers I've tried.

I think I’ve tried every (well slight exaggeration) type of blades on 3 x D3s and one D4 an they all were awful for noise unless it was properly raining, and some bad even then. Not going to miss D3/4 wipers. My advice? Stick to cheap as you can because they all get noisy after a short while. Thumbs Up

I've fitted the bosch aerotwin wiper to my disco and they are pretty poor, smearing the rain across the windscreen. I even had the wiper arm replaced and another blade and it's still as bad. The cheaper vealo ones I had before were better.

The aero ones were the retro fit ones, as I have the hook fit arms too.

I put a set of Michelin Stealth blades on Miss Moneypit a couple of years ago. They were on offer at Costco (membership required) for around a fiver.

They are generally quiet & clear the screen well. A great improvement over the things on it before that used to clonk in unison on each path!

They are a seasonal product in Costco

Thumbs Up

Put those Costco Michelins on my D3 back in August and they are still clearing away the snow and slush, just finished a 350 Km (one way) trip to relatives, was rain, sleet and road salt water all the way, wipers were fine ($10 CDN each). Used 4 litres of washer fluid though...

Didn't last Sad

Driver's side started getting noisy a while back but no signs of it being worn so put up with it for months ... until this month it got ridiculous. Picked up some "old fashioned" Goodyear ones (i.e. not curved, no plastic cover ) from Lidl for £5 each ..... only swapped the noisy one so far and it's nice and quiet again.

One thing to note though ... the plastic bit the arm on the Disco should click into couldn't spread quite enough within the metal part of the wiper. Fixed it by using the plastic bit from the old wiper and it was fine.

I’ve been pleased with Bosch AeroTwin Retro. I mean in this thread it’s been said they’re Censored but they work well on two cars and seem to get the job done. Thumbs Up

A bigger “problem” is to eventually replace the rear wiper arm or the spring. In the winter a lot of sand and grime gets between the hinge and then the wiper on the arm doesn’t touch all of the screen like it is supposed to. The fix is of course that I add some CRC every now and then to clear it.

Well that lasted ... NOT. not squeaky but annoying clunk as it changes direction at the top of the sweep. Big Cry

They lasted 14 months? I don't think that's too bad is it?
