winter tyre advice needed

Hi

I'm going to buy a new set of winter tyres next month.
I have checked lots of models , but i don't have a real user input to tell me advantages or disadvantages.

What are you guys using ?

some properties of the terrain
- winter temperatures usually between 14 Celcius and - 10
- snow depth maximum 28 cm - 11.02 inches - 0.9186 ft
- icy with snow for 1 or 2 weeks .
- rest of the winter is mostly rainy , cold , wet surface and ice rarely (at nights).

what type of tyres you suggest ?
i wanted to buy a real snow tyres but i'll mostly drive on tarmac but at the same time i don't wanna get stuck on 10- 28 cm snow .

thanks

I think Vredestein WinTrac tyres seem to be the general choice if a true snow tyre is required. Otherwise the MT/R's will also be OK (if that much snow, then you should think aboiut chains as well....)

I think Tintenter has had Wintracs on for the past 15 months or so. I've dropped him a line to see if that's the case and to ask for some feedback.
I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

If you want to go to Germany and Austria you need tyres with a snowflake stamped in it otherwise you legally didn't do everything to prevent an accident so you are wrong even if you had right of way.

Sounds like Saudi: If you weren't here this accident wouldn't happen.
