From the many threads on here, and personal experience, speedos always read slower than they suggest, and a move from 50 series to 55 series on numerous LR products ends up with the speedo being more accurate when measured with GPS.
When you consider as the tyre wears the rolling circumference changes, these small differences are in the great scheme of things totally irrelevant, hence why there is a tolerance on speed camera enforcement.

I find, on my RRS, that the 255/55/19 profile tyres give a speedo over read of about 2 mph when measured against GPS speed given by my phone. The RRS normally wears 255/50/19 profile in 19s or the similar circumference 275/40/20.
So when my speedo says 30mph, my GPS is saying 28mph.Visiting from rrsport.co.uk
