Wiring lights

Hi all I’m sure this has been discussed I’ve bought from off the site some spotlights and brackets but I wondered if anybody knew the best way to wire them relay location how to wire switch in cabin so they don’t come on.
Thanks in advance
Pat

Not sure of the current rules in UK, but here, spot lights can only be used when on high beam. When high beam goes off so should the fog/spot lights. Best spot for relay is on side panel near battery fuse box to keep power wiring short.

I'm not sure how the disco light systems work, as in if its on a canbus system or not? So please treat this with caution until someone more knowledgable tells you if it's ok or not.

If it's not canbus, then the diagram below is an easy way to wire them in.

This is what I did in my Navara (before the chassis snapped in half)

Obviously just swap the light bar for spot lights.

They'll come on with hi beam and when you flash them, but off when on dipped. They'll also be off when switched off at the switch.

Hope that is of some help.
