wiring loom corrosion

My discovery developed faults on both electric front windows and simultaneous door mirros folding in. The fault was traced to a coroded wiring loop in the drivers door. A replacement kit is no longer avaialble and the alternative is a wiring loom at £4000. Any thoughts?

I thought vehicle manufacturers had an obligation to provide all items that could possibly be required by owners for a certain period (at least 10yrs or perhaps more?), after production ceases. Why do Land Rover seem to think they can flaunt this? Confused.........If I require a part for my BMW, literally ANY part, it can be ready for collection in 2 days max, and the damn thing is nearly 18 yrs old for Christ's sake Shocked , there is something very wrong with LR Twisted Evil

They probably don't. Maybe the dealer is trying it on to earn some extra cash Whistle

Get a wiring loom from the drivers door of a scrapper, and splice it in Thumbs Up It cant be that difficult.

Try Colin White Services. Not cheap, but a fair chance they'll have one.
