Noticed tonight that the stainless steel rear bumper tread plate isn't on the car, instead it's the normal black one.

Hmm bit confused now. Most HSE Lux's I've found have the metal one and according to this brochure it should be included.

Mine's a MY12 and there wasn't a HSE LUX when I got mine, HSE was the top spec then.
When did they start making the Lux? Have you actually got a pre-lux HSE? If so, the black bumper trim is standard.MY2022 D5 HSE D300 - with extra nice bits added

If I remember correctly people who have the alluminium/rubber block one complain about the rubber blocks coming out and it is very difficult to get spares, may be better off with the standard one subject to how your bumper gets used.MY17 D5 1st Edition Namib Orange

The MY2013 was announced on 01/10/2012 and deliveries commenced in November 2013 so there could have been MY2012 Lux models
