Wonky script? Site slow

I'm showing 3x the memory usage on this site than pretty much any other page I view on t'webz at the moment. Running ie8 / slipstreamed XP on an Atom mobo, 32gb SSD, 2gb Ram

Slow on my "normal" pc too, but dying on this.
I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

Hi NoDosh,
I haven't checked the memory usage, but the speed seems fine to me.

No recent site changes Al, so shouldn't be anything out of the ordinary.

Testing with IE8 here shows a momentary pause while the sponsor banner loads on the main forum index page, but no memory leak or crawl along.

I have to ask though... IE8 Shocked

No issues here.

What you are describing is "throttling" to keep the poor people away.
