Won`t stay on

Hi, the Disco just gave me a new fault experience for Christimas:

Trouble is:
I press start, everything lights up as it should, then I release the start button, and everything goes black.

If I keep the button pressed, everything looks good, but the engine never turns over.
Just to be sure, I tried to top the battery, but the issue stays the same.

So, is there anyone here who knows what this might be?

Do you have access to a code reader? It’s time to read them, the codes I mean. otherwise it’s guessing and potentially an expensive parts cannon... Whistle

Poor earth connection would cause this.
 It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

Thank you for all your advice.
It decided to start again, a few days later, at the time when the flatbed came to pick it up...

Not sure what the error was, but a faulty grounding might explain the behaviour.
I decided to send it in anyways so that the dealer can have a look at it.

I´ll let you know if they find anything substantial.

Have a nice Christmas!

My bet is you just were not pressing the brake hard enough. If you had been in there without starting the car and pressed the brake a few times, it goes hard and feels like you’ve got it pressed - but you actually haven’t got it pressed enough.

Obviously it could be something more sinister, but the above has happen a fair few times before Thumbs Up
