Worthwhile Mods-LFs and Webasto |
|
Drove from Glasgow to Derby at the weekend to visit 10ForCash to have my LF170s installed onto the bumper using the LR Mounting Kit and at the same time had the webasto timer and GSM kit installed.
comments?? Well, I'm pretty picky (but clueless-a dangerous combination...!) and I think that the quality of the install was excellent and the cost reasonable-Iain is certainly a pleasure to deal with. The lights are first class - really making a big difference on dark back roads.
Oh, and my wife is now hugely impressed that she phones the car and half an hour later, despite -6C temperature, she gets in and has instant defrosting and warm air. The first time she has ever even grudgingly admitted that spending money on the car was worthwhile...!
Just looking to finish the job with my new wheels tomorrow from a FFRR and then that will be me. Or maybe an ECU upgrade too-wonder if she will spot that mod.......

cheers matey - you forgot to mention the 'shopping experience', which probably dulled the 'what have you had done to the car' backlash got a job coming up near Carlisle soon which should mean the ' software upgrade' will be sooner rather than later

ah yes, the shopping was a bribe fair enough. Give me a shout when you are coming up my way- i know that there is talk elsewhere of a group buy for some scottish owners.
