Had the best news this afternoon they are going to repair my Discovery, all down to strength of the Landrover ๐๐.
Even wife's happy kept her safe and car back for good.
The chap did say if that was a newer car it would be a write off? In fact he said still had a lot more money in Discovery.
Hope they get on with it & don't keep you waiting for ages - please keep us posted.
Good luck.

5 Days is super impressive for a repair..
I had my D4 2 weeks and someone went into the front O/S on our lane.. Was only bumper, bonnet, headlight and wheel arch..
They had it for 9 weeks!
I had a D5 as a courtesy car..

They picked up car on Friday, assessor viewed the damage and said it's saveable due mainly to old school chassis?.
Started later next week but due to 2 parts on back order that delayed almost 2 weeks.
Full sheet of parts looks like they removed the body I assumed for rear cross member etc replacement?. Give or take the delay in certain parts on order around 2 weeks?.

Wow 20k car hire? I bet the other insurance company gulped ๐ฎ๐ฎ๐ฎ.
Hard to say how much mine was as not privi to that I would say something along what's yours was?.
As the Assessor stated due to car it had a lot more money in it?
Luckily she took that car not her own that day as I think her car would of crumpled like the Hoist did and she would of had lot more injuries.?
