There's a LHD unit on fleabay at present, part number XBC500402.
Can anyone advise if this unit can be "switched" to suit RHD?
Many thanks,
PMG. I owe, I owe, it's off to work I go

I hear not all LHD units are switchable so would have to ask the seller to check it out for you

I think that code is the same, for triple the money...
TBH, I had been hunting for a set of Xenons for the last year, missing the deals when they were around...
Cant believe I found these today!!!

Thanks for all for the replies, especially Deeplylit, much appreciated.
I've bought the £90 unit - how can you tell it's adaptive and how do
I set it up as "non-adaptive" in my '55 S?
Can't wait until it gets dark! I owe, I owe, it's off to work I go

Glad I could have been of assistance... though I didn't do much, just pointed in the right direction!
That code XBC500102 states it is a Xenon unit and Adaptive (from the guide on this forum that I cannot locate now!).
I think DSD1036 has a set of Adaptive on his Non-adaptive set up D3 and stated that once aligned correctly they work a treat. To set up correctly, from what I understand, they need to plugged into a D3 that has the adaptive headlight as standard, with wheels facing forward. The headlights flicker on and adjust themselves correctly... You then proceed to take them out, pop them onto your car and Roberts your mothers brother!
This is what I intend to do once I've picked up my set anyhow!
Have to say, I've been a fly on the wall for a while, and the lads on this forum are stellar!

I'll need to find someone with adaptive light equipped D3 or forever drive round in circles
Like you DeeplyLit I've only ventured onto the Forum a couple of times but each time I've come
across friendly, helpful guys!
Good luck with the search,

Hi,
Yes its me with adaptive's on a non adaptive car!! No problem fitting, its just plug and play, i leave the switch on auto so you don't really notice the flicker when 1st switched on but if this does bother you, it can be sorted by someone with a Faultmate.
To get them aligned i took it to a MOT station and they manually aligned them, however as they aren't powered by the adaptive part they can wobble slightly on rough terrain, again not a problem, but i was gonna change em for non adaptive's but having just taken them apart to remove the amber section, i'm happy to keep em now!
Rgds
