Gentlemen,
While doing some other work these past days, I had a good look at my RAI.
I fitted the LR/Mantec RAI myself to the D3, but the dealership offered to move it over to the D4 when I was forced to upgrade - Long story in which a Kia totaled my pride and joy.
Since they moved it over, I have had a sneaky feeling something was not right...
When I pulled it off the side today, I found that the inner "hose" was simply hanging loosely sucking air from between the wing panels.
I recall that the instructions clearly showed an "optional" part required for the D4 mounting - Unfortunately I cannot find my instructions and was wondering whether anyone can help. I'd like to find the PN and order it if still available.
The version here http://topix.landrover.jlrext.com/topix/co...p;id=66276 doesn't mention any options for the D4.

They are not particularly good on the D3 either..... For any person who thought it may double up as a snorkel it certainly doesn't! The fitment of the RAI when it meets the wing is atrocious and could never be said to be airtight let alone watertight....I was very disappointed when I took mine off for a windscreen replacement.....

I seem to remember that the hose that connects on the inside of the wing is perforated to let any water drain out.
