The time has come to replace my tyres as all four are balder than a baboon's . I am currently running on Scorpions but am leaning towards MTR's.
I have read all the threads about noise, the effect on MPG and the benefits when off road, and that is not a problem.
But as I will be running the tyres on a day to day basis any advice or comments regarding grip under braking or cornering on wet and dry roads would be appreciated. I don't drive like a boy racer but I do like to make good progress!
Incidentally, I have been quoted £199 per Scorpion and £175 per MTR, and we don't even have VAT!
Thanks in advance.

I use MTR's all the time. They handle very good in the wet. In fact I prefer the MTR's to the standard tyres as they aquaplane a lot less. In the Beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

just got a quote off advance pitstop for MTR's
€240+VAT each oh and they only have 3 in stock but they can get as many as I want with two weeks notice.
Still it seems a bit on the high side. Anyone else got pricing in Ireland? 1993 Defender 110 300tdi - many mods

nope , Advance are rip off merchants Pat , although I use them for Scorpions only because of convenience.Id say you'd get them shipped from Eng cheaper than that.Im holding out for Kumho 17 " Kl 71's , failing that it'll be STT's .Yours looked like they had plenty of fat left tho.
