Well..it was central london and I got a 20% trade discount within that price...Jo public will pay £200 + vat....all I did was 'barter' on the phone  Money talks.Sex sells.Mud sticks.Time flys.  happens.People talk.Impressions last!

Lets be honest, there is no such thing as a free lunch! Nobody gets 'Free' servicing - its built into the price of the car. Its even better for the dealers because they get paid for the servicing up front!
Our Mini has a thing called 'TLC' cost £100 to specify it as an option. Basically it is a 3 year servicing deal. Who's going to turn that down! (but the car did cost 18 grand)
You are right, it's included in the car's price, but given the more than 5% price decrease on the 2006 tariff in Switzerland (I ordered mine last week based on the 2006 prices) and the "no bad surprise servicing" for the next 3 years I believe it worth the money

Just booked mine it for 15K service went for the cheaper one at only £440!!!! the more expensive was around £550!!! D5 HSE Waitona Grey 2015

Well up date, called around & Chipperfield LR £287 all in with courtesy car!
So booked this!
Went back to Stratstone to cancel, get a call back saying they will drop the £449 down to £287 to keep my business!!
So now I have to go back & cancel Chipperfield!
So next time I book a service I guess I will have to phone around get a better quote & go back to Stratstones to get it matched! D5 HSE Waitona Grey 2015

Worth a few phone calls then
I will have to do the same when the time comes as my dealer is Stratsone also, so if they want my business they will have to match the best I can come up with.
Why rip people off, they are still making a decent profit at £287 Zermatt silver 06 reg.

I'd stick with Chipperfield, Stratstone were obviously trying to rip you off, don't give them the honour of having your business

Yep I have to agree with you & I would like to switch to Chipperfield, but Stratstone is less than 2 miles down the road! Very convenient especially if anything goes wrong! For now I would like to have the same people look after servicing & warranty work! But it dose stink! D5 HSE Waitona Grey 2015

Just been quoted £297 all in for 15,000 mile service . But cars only done 11,000, but they tell me its a year old so needs doing.
