Please could anyone advise as to anywhere for a spot of light off-roading near leyburn (we are holidaying there next week). Nothing too challenging and only suitable for solo driving?!?
Thanks!

The ORPAs on Redmire Moor are nice and easy. Gravel tracks with great scenery.

A nice one over penn hill that starts near west witten (drive up Grassgill Ln, on one of the s bends it start High Ln) and finishes near west burton. Aim for the B6160 and head for Buckden as you climb to the top of Kid stones look right and a track heads over the dale towards Hawes. 1971 Range Rover

The Roman road that runs from Haws to Bainbridge. Head out of Haws past the Wensleydale cheese, through Gayle stay on the road till you come to the top of a steep hill, track starts on you left.
There some tracks on Grinton moor as well about 10 minutes drive from Leyburn but not all are green lanes agin easy tracks to drive though..
There are other tracks as well but it's knowing what you want to drive..
