Well I have never heard of read anywhere before that a tyres life should not exceed 4 years of age before being changed. Excellent info. Thanks.
ps. My mum kept a set of tyres on her VW Golf for 21 years (yes that is 21 years)

i tend to change the tyres on my trailers (boat, caravan etc) every 5 years. but that is mostly because they stand in one place for longer periods and increase the risk of perishing. I wish my D3 tyres would last 21 years
this site is also a good one for tyres (and other stuff) : www.carbibles.co.uk Duncan

The guide is comprehensive ...but it should be noted that it reflects U.S. requirements only and not necessarily EU or elsewhere 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021
