Found that very interesting with regards to a casing oil leak

Was there actually a recall to address the issue? My D4 is in the affected VIN range, I did notice some moisture underneath when I did my last oil change. (I usually use a vacuum pump, so first time underneath)

i do not think there will be recall for this as it is ZF casting manufacturing fault so I assume LR will push liability away

mine is also sweating and when it gets worse I am going to Christians place to get it solved Wink

Action:
Remove the transfer case and inspect the area as shown in the attached file. If a leak is confirmed in this area, submit a FRED for an automatic transmission replacement attaching clear photos confirming the issue.

i like how open to interpretation is this statement since looking at LRTime video they clearly missed the signs of leaks although there was tons of evidence on the outside of the box in revelant spot

so i assume there is no point going franchised dealer way as would be waste of time and money and for me way too much stress as I have massive allergy to stupid

Think with the 2023 ULEZ expansion think quite a few may go over to a FFRR Whistle

Could always ask them to drop in a petrol engine whilst it’s up on the ramps, then apply for a second mortgage Whistle

But joking aside will be soul destroying to see pre euro 6 going up for sale
