2008 Discovery 3 G4 build from scratch
I have started a new build, which is going to be a Discovery 3 2008 model-year G4 Challenge model. The entire process will be documented here.
The base car is an April 2008 HSE model - manufactured at a very similar time than the original G4 vehicles.
Positive things: as a Swiss car it is very well equipped - currently I see two extras missing from the 2008 G4 specification: Harman Kardon Logic 7 (it has HK only) and the rear climate control for 2nd and 3rd seats.
Yes, the car currently in Java black - this is going to be changed to tangiers orange of course.
In the past couple of months I sourced all required accessories such as original winch, roof rack, a-frame, rear leader etc.... it was a long process too.
Decals will come as well of course.
Similarly to my Buckingham Blue 2008 Disco 3 a complete refurbishment technical will be in place - from the frame, through all all components for the entire interior and exterior.
Currently a new refurbished engine will come into place first, then more will come.....

as a very first step the DPF will be properly cleansed, removed and will be mounted back.
