2012 Suspension fault leading to restricted performance.

Hello

I had my D4 in off road height setting and when i went to return to normal road height the red triangle and restricted performance illuminated. turned the engine off for a few minuets and it cleared itself.

Any idea what it could be?

Cheers in advance

Joe

Ditto for me.
Wifes 2013 D4 - same story: Off road height for a few minutes and then Restricted Performance came up.
Stopped and turned off and back on again. Still in slow mode.

Left for an hour and fault had cleared. Next day 100 mile journey - no issues.

Any advice appreciated!

ABS cable could have been stretched.

I had this on mine, it was a crack in the outer sheathing of the rear one, which also when damp caused the same issue.

Check on full height if anything is snagged or damaged.

Mine turned out to need a new suspension pump and I had a cracked inlet manifold (replacing both).

Had mine to my local indy garage who found a 'low boost pressure' error. Hoses checked as well as manifold for cracks and leaks but all seem ok.

Tried to recreate fault by repeatedly using off road height but fault has not reappeared.

None the wiser still!

Mine was oil on the engine cover leaking out.

Have you checked exhaust port valve on compressor? They can stick and casue slow or no lowering. If its really slow the car reports an obstruction underneath and engages extended mode.
The expert is the last person called - usually to share the blame!
